Volunteering

Working with eight student volunteers from leading universities, including the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), during 2025–2026 has significantly strengthened our organisational capacity and enabled us to support more people in the community. These volunteers bring diverse skills, fresh perspectives, and a strong commitment to community engagement. Through comprehensive training and ongoing support, they are able to work independently, allowing us to expand our services while reducing pressure on our small staff team.

What Our Student Volunteers Told Us

Volunteering with EWEG has given me valuable real-life experience working directly with the community. I have developed my confidence, communication skills, and understanding of the challenges faced by people from different backgrounds.
I have been able to apply my university learning in a practical setting and gain experience supporting people in a meaningful way.
Being part of EWEG has shown me the importance of community support, and I feel proud to contribute to work that makes a difference in people's lives
The opportunity to work independently has helped me build my skills, take responsibility, and prepare for my future career.
