Partnership
Collaborating with a wide range of partner organisations has been key to addressing complex challenges such as housing insecurity and health inequalities. In partnership with Shelter UK, we delivered a series of workshops providing practical advice on housing issues, including homelessness prevention, housing disrepair, tenants' rights, and access to social housing. These workshops helped women better understand their rights and the support available to them, while referrals enabled some participants to access the services they needed to improve their housing situations.
We also worked closely with healthcare professionals and community partners, including SASH, BME Health Forum, Green Doctors, Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust, Shepherds Bush Family Project, Bay 20, Masbro, Kensington & Chelsea Social Council (KCSC), Kensington Volunteer Bureau, Westway Development Trust, and oral health specialists, to deliver workshops on a broad range of health and wellbeing topics. These included sexual health, dementia, glaucoma, oral health, healthy living, energy efficiency and fuel poverty, and accessing local health and community services. Through these sessions, women gained essential knowledge, practical skills, and greater confidence to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing, while improving their access to healthcare and wider community support.
