Health Promotion
we are committed to fostering health and wellbeing through practical and inclusive initiatives. Our programmes include healthy cooking workshops, health awareness sessions on topics like bowel cancer, glaucoma, and sexual health, as well as homelessness prevention support. We also engage volunteers to provide regular health checks and teach participants how to adopt healthier eating habits, empowering them to make informed lifestyle choices. Together, we’re building a stronger, healthier community.

Awareness of bowel screening and breast screening
We had 32 people attend. The participants told us they had a fear of going for bowel and breast screening. Now, after the workshops, they feel more confident. Their knowledge has improved, and they understand how it can save lives. People have attended more screenings since our workshop.

Cooking classes
The class facilitated the sharing of healthy recipes, learning about nutrition, and buying healthy meals within a budget. Cooking and eating together strengthened connections between families in the local areas. Additionally, participants cooked traditional foods from their home countries, encouraging cultural understanding and exchange. This cultural exchange enriched their social experiences and broadened their horizons.
